DELANEY (V.O.)
Previously, on Slayer Academy...
INT. CABAL HQ - CARGO BAY - NIGHT
JILHANDRA smacks down into frame, singed from KIRA's last
attack. Jilhandra struggles to sit up as Kira approaches.
KIRA
Good job I came along to put you
out of your misery, eh?
JILHANDRA
This isn't over yet...
KIRA
(laughs)
Sorry to argue, but -
BLAM! Kira suddenly JOLTS forward, hands dropping to clutch
her belly. BLOOD pools through her fingers.
KIRA (cont'd)
What...
She turns - and there's Hamish. Lowering a smoking GUN.
HAMISH
Sorry, Kira... but you're just not
the team to be on any more.
Kira sinks to her knees, raising an arm to fight back - and
Hamish SHOOTS her again, in the shoulder!
Kira spins and hits the deck, staying there. Hamish walks up
to the still-recovering Jilhandra, offering a hand.
JILHANDRA
You took your damn time!
With a SMIRK, he hauls Jilhandra to her feet.
CUT TO:
INT. CAMPUS - INFIRMARY - DAY
MANU joins ERIKA at MARIA's bedside. Erika's little sister is
bundled up in bed, SHIVERING - with the tell-tale GREEN VEINS
of the Slayer Virus spreading across her pale skin.
MANU
I'm afraid your fears were
confirmed. Maria has the virus.
Erika bites her lip, but doesn't speak.
MANU (cont'd)
(thinking out loud)
The thing is, we know Maria's blood
is different, but we hadn't
anticipated exactly what would
happen. We'd hoped the antibodies
would develop to fight it.
ERIKA
But?
MANU
(careful)
It's unusual. Something in her
blood seems to have mutated the
virus, creating a new strand.
ERIKA
(getting frustrated)
Meaning what, Dr. Cairns?
MANU
It's a different animal to the
virus we've been fighting these
past few months. It does not seem
to be advancing at present. For
which we can be thankful, but when
it does choose to go on the
attack... I'm not sure I have
anything that can counter it, and
its effects may be very different
to what we've already seen.
ERIKA
(straightforward)
Then you will find a cure. Soon.
Manu looks directly into her eyes, seeing exactly how
important this is to her.
CUT TO:
INT. TECH SUITE - NIGHT
Delaney sits at the computer reading, but is interrupted by a
BEEP. Her screen reads: ONE NEW EMAIL. She opens it.
It reads "You do me a favour... Just consider my debt paid."
Beside this is a link. She clicks it:
A VIDEO. It's fuzzy and dark, but someone is lying on a
table. It's KIRA!
She lies on the table, prone, as a fuzzy figure works over
her. However, the voice is unmistakable:
HAMISH
Kira, Kira, Kira... how the mighty
have fallen. No more your stupid
little apprentice now, eh?
And, if to underscore the point, the camera person shifts the
camera up and ZOOMS IN on HAMISH's face!
The video cuts to a map of Europe, and begins moving closer
and closer, into France, closer, until it lands on a small
uninhabited area outside PARIS.
Text underneath reads: HAPPY HUNTING - MALLORY. Delaney looks
at this, eyes wide, breathing hard. She grins.
CUT TO:
INT. CAMPUS - INFIRMARY - MORNING
Manu moves to join Maria, who stands beside an empty bed,
shaking. Maria looks over, tears running down her face.
MARIA
(sad)
They said she had three days or so,
so I told her I'd...
(lost in thought)
But, when I woke up, she was... she
was gone.
(beat)
I'm gonna die, aren't I?
MANU
Not if I can help it.
He flips through the CHART on the end of the empty bed,
looking at it, worried.
MANU (cont'd)
This is odd.
(beat)
Felicia did have three or four more
days, and there was no reason she
should have...
He looks back at Maria, and realises this isn't something he
wants her to hear. He rests a hand on Maria's shoulder and
squeezes sadly.
CUT TO:
INT. FACILITY - MORNING
Delaney, all decked out in black, makes her way down a
hallway to a DOOR.
She presses her hand to the lock - and a little haze of BLUE
LIGHT forms around it.
DELANEY
(mutters)
Sesame.
The lock CLICKS, and Delaney tests the handle; it opens. She
slips through the doorway as we CUT TO:
INT. FACILITY - BASEMENT - NEXT
Delaney moves down the dark stairs cautiously. She kneels,
and the view through the bars emulates the view from the
VIDEO Mallory sent her!
Including, lying on a table, the prone body of KIRA!
Delaney stands and moves down the stairs, soon standing over
her mother. She's hooked up to a kind of BRAIN-WAVE MONITOR
and another HEART MONITOR, neither of which trouble Delaney,
and bound by heavy metal restraints.
Quickly, Delaney unhooks the monitors and ZAPS the metal
restraints and leans down to her mother's face.
DELANEY
Mom. Wake up.
She reaches out and lightly SLAPS Kira's cheek.
DELANEY (cont'd)
Mom! Wake the frick up!
MALE VOICE (O.S.)
I'm afraid your mother won't be
joining us today.
Delaney looks up - to see JOSH standing on the steps with his
Scythe!
JOSH
Hey. Delaney, right? Been looking
forward to meeting you.
He raises his Scythe, and Delaney's eyes widen as we:

TEASER
FADE IN:
1 INT. CABAL FACILITY - KIRA'S ROOM - DAY 1
Right where we left off in the last episode:
DELANEY is standing away from the bed in the fairly spacious
and airy room.
The unconscious KIRA is lying half against the bed, but
Delaney's attention is all on JOSH who is stood in the
doorway, his DARK SCYTHE in hand and despite being sheathed
GLINTS wickedly in the half-light of the room.
Furious RAIN splatters against the window as the dark night
draws in outside.
DELANEY
Josh, right? You're the guy who
took over from Braeden, aren't you?
Yeah, I heard about you. All about
how you got your ass kicked by some
newbie back in Brooklyn.
Josh is silent. Rattled, Delaney glances at Kira.
DELANEY (cont'd)
Just so we're both clear, I'm
taking her out of here.
She moves to Kira and Josh FLICKS his Scythe at her.
DELANEY (cont'd)
Get the hell out of my way, kid.
JOSH
Not going to happen.
(beat)
'Kid.'
DELANEY
Listen, I don't know who the hell
you think you're impressing...
She clenches one fist - a CRACKLE of energy blazes round it.
DELANEY (cont'd)
... but it ain't me.
JOSH
You'll have to get through me to
get past this door.
Delaney LAUNCHES off one foot and SMACKS his Scythe aside
momentarily, smirking.
DELANEY
I guess they don't make security
the way they used to, huh? Guess
it's just -
Josh FLIES FORWARD and SMACKS Delaney aside, sending her
stumbling into a wall!
JOSH
You people would last a lot longer
if you stopped trying to make so
many jokes.
He UNSHEATHES his Scythe fully and the darkness of it almost
seems to GLOW in the light.
JOSH (cont'd)
Let's get this done.
Delaney FLIPS to her feet and ROUNDHOUSE KICKS Josh in the
chest, KNOCKING him backwards over a MONITOR which SPARKS.
DELANEY
Whatever you want, junior.
Josh DIVES sideways to avoid the shards of METAL that EXPLODE
from the monitor and SNATCHES the Dark Scythe from the
ground.
He SLICES it straight through a monitor, sending glass
SPRAYING everywhere and forcing Delaney to JUMP up to avoid
the airborne pieces.
She SLIDES a KATANA from her BACKPACK and raises it just in
time to meet Josh's strike with a CLASH.
DELANEY (cont'd)
Not bad...
She SWEEP KICKS him and he almost falls, before SNAP KICKING
Delaney in the side, leaving her open to a vicious SLASH.
She YELPS and Josh manages to KARATE KICK her in the side,
sending her down like a ton of bricks.
DELANEY (cont'd)
(wincing)
Son of a bitch!
He looms over her but Delaney FLIP KICKS him, knocking him
against the window in the room violently, CRACKING the glass
and SHATTERING it, sending it skittering across the floor.
However, he VAULTS over the bed and SMASHES a fist into
Delaney's gut before he KNEES her in the chest.
Delaney forces herself BACKWARDS to avoid a SLASH from Josh
and KICKS out at him, knocking him backwards onto the bed.
DELANEY (cont'd)
C'mon, work experience Bring it on!
He SNAP KICKS Delaney in the chest and follows it up with an
immediate REVERSE ROUNDHOUSE to send her FLYING.
She gets to her feet and KARATE SLAMS him in the solar
plexus, but he KICKS out at her and SLASHES his Scythe at her
chest!
She manages to dodge back but it SLICES along her tee shirt,
with a small spray of BLOOD.
Delaney HISSES with anger as she stumbles back, one hand
clutching the wound.
DELANEY (cont'd)
(growls)
This is my lucky shirt...
Delaney SLUGS Josh twice in the stomach before SNAPPING his
head back with a vicious UPPERCUT.
DELANEY (cont'd)
Nobody wrecks my lucky shirt!
He drops onto the bed as Delaney LAUNCHES in the air, and
Josh rolls to avoid being SMASHED by Delaney's leg.
He KICKS viciously at the back of her knees, so she DROPS.
However she catches Josh's arm and JUDO FLIPS him over her
shoulder, SLAMMING him into the floor.
GLASS lodges itself in Josh, causing superficial CUTS, but he
barely notices as he SMASHES Delaney in the face with his
elbow.
She DUCKS and receives a forearm PUNCH to the back of her
head for her trouble, disorientating her enough for Josh to
SWEEP KICK her legs from under her.
She COLLAPSES as Josh SWEEPS her legs from under her and
places a foot on her chest, making her WINCE in pain.
He aims his Scythe down at her - and slowly DRAGS its blade
across her chest! Delaney CRIES OUT in pain, trying to push
Josh off.
He raises his Scythe - and his grin broadens as the Scythe
starts to GLOW brightly!
JOSH
I knew it.
He TWIRLS the Scythe, pushing down harder on Delaney's chest.
She YELPS in pain and HISSES.
JOSH (cont'd)
You're one of them. I'm honoured.
DELANEY
(grimacing)
I'll... give you something... to
feel honoured about...
He STAMP KICKS her in the chest and she CRIES out. Her hands
flail and try to claw at Josh but he SMACKS her forehead with
the Scythe.
Without another word, he raises the Dark Scythe above his
head - before PLUNGING it down and forcing us to:

END OF TEASER
ACT ONE
FADE IN:
2 INT. FACILITY - KIRA'S ROOM - DAY 2
The Scythe SOARS downwards but Delaney's katana SMASHES into
it as the Slayer GRABS it. The surprise is enough for Delaney
to buck Josh off slightly and AX KICK him in the chest.
She flips to her feet and FLICKS her katana around, TWIRLING
it experimentally before she feigns a BLOW to the left.
Josh sweeps his Scythe to the left and Delaney REVERSES her
katana and SLICES deeply across Josh's unprotected side.
DELANEY
(mock gangster)
Oh! How you like me now, sucker?
He GRUNTS in pain and then grasps his sword in both hands and
SPINS, SLAMMING straight into Delaney!
She manages to side-step and MURMURS an incantation – and
BLUE ENERGY BURSTS from her hands and STRIKES Josh! He shakes
it off but looks pissed now.
Delaney SWIPES a nearby MONITOR and lobs it at Josh. He
deflects it easily, swiping it from mid-air and SMASHING it
against the wall.
Josh SWINGS at her with the Scythe but Delaney DUCKS and then
SLASHES at Josh.
He DUCKS and then SLAMS his Scythe into her sword - and it
BREAKS, SHATTERING into several pieces.
Delaney GULPS as Josh SLICES the Scythe towards Delaney's
throat - but she DUCKS and KICKS him in the abdomen, doubling
him up and allowing Delaney to SNAP KICK him in the temple,
knocking him backwards.
He manages to FLIP OVER the destruction and debris on the
floor but receives a ROUNDHOUSE KICK to the face for his
trouble.
Delaney grabs Kira, hefting her over her shoulders fireman
style - but Josh ROUNDHOUSE SLAMS them back onto the bed!
Delaney BUMPS Kira hard against the bed, unable to stop
herself. She quickly recovers, adding:
DELANEY (cont'd)
Sorry, Mom.
JOSH
'Mom'?
(appalled)
You're this whore's daughter?
Delaney spins her legs up and KARATE KICKS him, sending him
FLYING BACKWARDS into the wall!
DELANEY
There was something I was meant to
say then.
(beat)
Oh, yeah. 'Look out.'
Josh SOARS over the bed and Delaney PUNCHES him in mid-air
before grabbing Josh's leg and SPINNING, SLAMMING Josh into
the doorway.
DELANEY (cont'd)
And that was for calling her a
whore!
Delaney speeds over back to Kira but Josh HOOK KICKS Delaney
in the head, knocking her down.
She SPINS as she jumps up and KICKS him in mid-air, forcing
him backwards.
DELANEY (cont'd)
She prefers 'bitch,' anyway.
He COLLAPSES, before hooking his leg around hers and SLAMMING
her down to the ground. He SNATCHES his Scythe but Delaney
SMASHES her legs into his chest, knocking him down.
She ROLLS backwards, avoiding an AX KICK to the stomach and
SMASHING her legs into Josh's, sending him sideways.
He PUNCHES Delaney across the face with a RIGHT HOOK and she
smiles, wiping blood from her chin, before she HOPS over a
low kick and SPIN KICKS him across the face.
He SCOOPS the Scythe up and swings it horizontally, looking
to bisect Delaney but she DODGES it and GRASPS the Scythe in
both hands.
Both of them wrestle for the Scythe before Delaney BACKFLIPS,
snatching the Scythe from Josh's grasp and she FLIPS it,
using the stake-like end to SLAM it into the wall, forcing
PLASTER and RUBBLE everywhere.
Josh grabs her leg, twisting it painfully and forcing her
down, but Delaney REVERSE ELBOWS him in the face, knocking
him back a little and allowing her to grab Kira's unused IV
and SLAM it into his face, SMASHING him into a wall where it
CRACKS.
He SUCKER PUNCHES her in the face and leans over and WRENCHES
the Scythe free, SPRAYING plaster all over the place.
JOSH
You can't get out of here. Do both
of us a favour and just let me
finish this.
WHAM! He SLUGS her in the face, knocking her back.
JOSH (cont'd)
You can't beat me.
Delaney SIDE KICKS him and KICK JUMPS from the smashed
monitor to perform a perfect SMASH KICK into his face,
forcing him to drop the Scythe.
DELANEY
Now, see, you say that, but here I
am with this open can of whup ass
in my hand...
He grabs a SHARD of GLASS from the broken window and SLASHES
at Delaney.
She BACKFLIPS over a smashed monitor and ACTIVATES the
DEFIBRILLATOR whilst kicking Josh in the side.
Josh WHACKS her in the face with his forearm but she HEEL
PUNCHES him in the nose and reaching behind her GRABS the
PADDLES, one in each hand.
She SPINS AROUND as Josh attacks - and SLAMS them onto his
chest!
He SPASMS as the current shocks him, before he's violently
thrown backwards, CRASHING violently into a corner.
Delaney picks up his Scythe, standing over him. Josh is still
reeling from the shock.
She looks to the Scythe, then to the helpless Josh - then
closes her eyes and TOSSES the Scythe outside.
DELANEY (cont'd)
You're lucky I don't break my
rules. Even for people like you.
Delaney WHISPERS an INCANTATION and a stream of purple
coloured ENERGY soars from Delaney's hands and FORCES Josh
backwards, into the corridor outside.
DELANEY (cont'd)
It's been fun, rookie...
She rushes to the door and with another incantation, SEALS
THE DOOR!
DELANEY (cont'd)
... but playtime's over.
She turns back - and realises that there's no other exit
except the air vent she came in through!
DELANEY (cont'd)
Oh... crap.
CUT TO:
3 INT. FACILITY - CORRIDOR - NEXT 3
Josh POUNDS on the door as several CABAL TROOPERS head around
the corner.
CABAL TROOPER #1
Sir, we -
JOSH
(interrupting)
I don't want any excuses, just
break the door down!
CABAL TROOPER #1
But it —
Josh SWINGS his Scythe suddenly and brings it to his side in
one fluid motion.
The Trooper stares back at him for a beat - and then his head
SLIDES from his shoulder and BOUNCES along down the corridor!
Josh looks at the other Troopers... who RUSH FORWARD as one,
SLAMMING repeatedly into the door!
4 INT. CAMPUS - CORRIDOR - DAY 4
SLAYERS pass by in the hall as SKYE makes her way along from
the infirmary, massaging her left arm.
SKYE
(to herself)
Damn, I forgot how much those
needles sting like a mother -
REIKO (O.S.)
Hey, Skye?
REIKO bops into view, hair still streaked a bright purple.
She glances at Skye's arm.
REIKO (cont'd)
Immunisation jabs, right? I can't
stand 'em either.
SKYE
It's not that I can't stand 'em.
It's just after fifteen of them,
you tend to get pissed at just the
sight of them.
REIKO
See, I just hate them 'cause
they're all needle-y and 'ow.'
SKYE
(beat)
I'm just still getting used to the
whole 'human' thing, y'know?
REIKO
Yeah, totally. You're now a hundred
percent Chosen instead of being
split fifty-fifty. You were like
the Anakin of this place.
(beat)
Anyway, me and Tsula are gonna do
the new Katherine Heigl film. You
wanna come?
(beat; off Skye's
reaction)
C'mon, James Marsden? Even cheaper
guys who look like they could pass
for James Marsden on a dark night?
SKYE
I'm cool, Utada.
REIKO
(grins)
Someone's been picking up the J

SKYE
Someone's been playing it nonstop
for two months now so even I can
understand it.
REIKO
Touche.
Reiko nods and bounds out of view. Skye wanders on and sees
RACHEL and SOFIA talking.
Rachel's biting her nails and looking a little nervous, while
Sofia SIGHS heavily.
SKYE
Hey.
SOFIA
Oh, hello, Skye.
Rachel just nods, clearly preoccupied.
SKYE
Hey, you two seen Delaney anywhere?
She's got a CD of mine and —
RACHEL
Huh? Delaney? No, no, sorry...
Skye eyes them both. Sofia glances at Rachel. You don't need
to be a master detective to pick up on this one.
SKYE
You nervous about something?
RACHEL
No, why?
SKYE
Because your hand's a claw at the
moment.
Rachel looks down and sees her hand is indeed a CLAW! Rachel
SHAKES it and it returns to normal.
SKYE (cont'd)
Okay, I'm clearly missing something
here, and I know I could beat it
out of you both, but it'll be
quicker if one of you just -
SOFIA
(blurts)
Delaney's gone.
RACHEL
(hisses)
Sofia?
SKYE
'Gone'? Where? Morocco?
SOFIA
I'm rubbish at keeping secrets, and
she told me not to but I had to
tell someone, and I've been keeping
this secret for a whole day, and
I've had enough of bloody secrets
to last me another lifetime, so I
just had to —
Skye grabs Sofia, shaking her a little.
SKYE
Sofia! Focus! What's with Delaney?
Sofia bites her lip, looking to Rachel.
RACHEL
(exhales)
She's gone after Kira.
SKYE
(frowns)
How does she know where Kira is?
Rachel shoots a meaningful look at Sofia.
RACHEL
She must have gotten some
information from someone, but she
mentioned to me that it was some
Cabal base of operations.
(beat)
Probably one of the last ones left,
so it can't be that hard finding it
if you've got the right sources and
enough time and effort.
SKYE
So what are we waiting for? Come
on!
RACHEL
Where are you going?
SKYE
Straight to the management!
Rachel and Sofia exchange an urgent look before following:
5 INT. CAMPUS - FITZGERALD'S OFFICE - NEXT 5
The door BURSTS OPEN and Skye walks in to find FITZGERALD,
poised in mid air to continue writing something on a folder.
FITZGERALD
Skye, have you considered the
concept of knocking?
SKYE
Were you doing something important?
FITZGERALD
Well, no, but -
SKYE
Then it's fine then, isn't it?
(beat)
It's about Delaney.
FITZGERALD
(sighs)
If you've had some sort of fight or
an argument -
SKYE
(interrupts)
She's gone. Missing.
Fitzgerald starts to reply, pausing as Rachel and Sofia enter
the office. Sofia shuts the door behind them.
FITZGERALD
I take it you three know where she
is, given you're all here?
RACHEL
She's gone after Kira. Hamish has
her drugged up in some sort of
Cabal facility, and Delaney found
out from one of her sources where
the facility was.
Sofia squirms again at the word 'sources.' Fitzgerald SIGHS
and leans back in her chair.
FITZGERALD
I knew I should have asked her
where she was going...
RACHEL
Wait - you knew about this, and you
didn't tell anyone?
FITZGERALD
She said it was an overnight solo
mission to Paris. I had no reason
not to believe her. Despite her
background, she's never given me
cause not to trust her.
SKYE
So sign off on this one! We need to
go help her out before she gets
herself killed!
FITZGERALD
You want me to authorise a rescue
mission on another rescue mission
that could risk more lives?
SKYE
(beat)
When you put it like that...
FITZGERALD
I'm sorry, Skye, but without more
intel on where Delaney's gone and
what she's up against, I can't
justify sending the rest of your
squad in blind. I should never have
allowed Delaney to go alone in the
first place, so I'm certainly not
going to approve another mission
without having all the facts first.
Skye sighs in frustration and shares a look with a still
nervous and scared Sofia as we CUT TO:
